Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Sync service. Your access to and use of the service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms.
1. Terms
By accessing our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.
2. Use License
Permission is granted to temporarily use the Sync service for personal, non-commercial file sharing purposes. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:
- Modify or copy the materials
- Use the materials for any commercial purpose
- Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on Sync's servers
- Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials
- Transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server
3. Account Terms
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Sync cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
You are responsible for all content posted and activity that occurs under your account.
4. Prohibited Content
You may not use the Sync service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not, in the use of the service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).
Prohibited content includes, but is not limited to:
- Illegal content
- Malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Content that violates the privacy or publicity rights of others
- Content that is defamatory, obscene, or offensive
5. Security and Abuse Prevention Logging
To protect our service and users, we maintain limited technical logs:
- Download IPs: stored only as non-reversible hashes for legal compliance and abuse prevention.
- Login safety: we derive the city from the login IP and store only a hash of the city. We do not retain full IPs for logins.
- Retention: hashed city records are automatically removed after 30 days.
- Scope: these logs are used solely for security, fraud prevention, and to comply with applicable laws. They are not used for advertising or profiling.
These measures are designed to align with local and international privacy laws by minimizing personal data and limiting retention.
6. Storage Limits
Free accounts are limited to 2GB of storage for anonymous uploads and 5GB for registered users. We reserve the right to modify these limits at any time.
7. File Expiration
Files uploaded by anonymous users will automatically expire after 30 days. Files uploaded by registered users will remain available until deleted by the user or until the account is terminated.
8. Disclaimer
The materials on Sync's service are provided on an 'as is' basis. Sync makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.
9. Limitations
In no event shall Sync or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Sync's service, even if Sync or a Sync authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.
10. Revisions and Errata
The materials appearing on Sync's service could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Sync does not warrant that any of the materials on its service are accurate, complete or current. Sync may make changes to the materials contained on its service at any time without notice.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to our service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
